UPPER YOUGH RACE DETAILS
Welcome to the registration page for the 45th Annual Upper Yough Race

The Upper Yough Race is a premiere whitewater race held annually on the fourth Saturday of July. This years race falls on July 26th. The course is 5+ miles of remote, continuous class IV whitewater.
Whether you are a first time racer learning the lines or a seasoned race veteran dialing them in, the glorious Upper Yough Race awaits once again.

Registration is online ONLY.
Registration closes Sunday July 20th at midnight EST.
There will be no day of registration. Absolutely no exceptions. We can't do it. Don't ask.
There are a limited number of starts. The race fills up. Don't wait until the last minute to register. Once slots are filled, we can not add racers.
Bib/T shirt pick up will be at WV in Friendsville on race day between 10 am and 1 pm. If you can't be there to get your bib, please make arrangements.
Start times will be posted 24 hrs before the race start time (by Friday at 4 pm).

RACE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 4 PM.
START IS AT THE WAIT ROCK- ABOVE GAP FALLS.
FINISH IS AT THE BIG ROCK ON RIVER RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF KENDALL RAPID. CROSS THE LINE OF SIGHT, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TOUCH THE ROCK.
YOU MUST HAVE A BIB TO RACE.
RACERS WILL START AT 60 SECOND INTERVALS. DON'T MISS YOUR START TIME.
THERE IS NO DESIGNATED SAFETY. IF YOU SEE A BOATER IN NEED OF HELP, YOU MUST STOP RACING AND HELP.
IF YOU ARE OVERTAKEN BY A RACER, YOU MUST LET THEM PASS.
PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE IN THE TOWN OF FRIENDSVILLE. DON'T SPEED OR BE A JERK. PLEASE USE THE NEW PARKING LOT AND CHANGING BOOTH. PLEASE CONSIDER A CONTRIBUTION IN DONATION BOX.
AWARDS: Overall fastest man and woman are awarded race champion traveling trophies. Top 3 in each class are also awarded prizes.
RESULTS WILL BE POSTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ONLINE.
RETURN YOUR BIBS AT FINISH LINE. DO NOT TAKE TO FRIENDSVILLE. IF YOU FORGET, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GET IT TO IR, CLEANED AND DRY. Please return your bib. I'd like to say that we'll charge you $50 if you don't return it (we will), but please just return it. They are super expensive and we can't replace a missing number.
